Aquaponics Club

This is an inclusive club that offers students the ability to learn about aquaponics. College students of Slippery Rock University that are part of our Rock Life program will be leading the lessons and hands-on experience. The Rock Life program offers students with disabilities in a non-degree seeking program a college experience that offers classes for audit, on-campus living, and work opportunities. 4 of our students have been with us for more than 1 full semester some more than 1 year! These students are currently in the stewardship portion of their job at Growing Together Aquaponics. Mentors will be on-site to support all the students.

This club offers lessons on how the aquaponics system works and hands-on experience with the tasks in the system. Come join us for the opportunity to learn about the Nitrogen cycle, plant germination, hand pollination, and much more! Have the opportunity to feed the fish, sow seeds, harvest plants, and much much more!
